Bijan Zaman Pira; Writer, director and photographer

Bijan Zaman Pira was born in Sanandaj, Kurdistan, Iran in 1965 and received his bachelor's degree in Persian literature from Tehran University and started his activities in 1998 with photography and won several domestic and foreign awards in this field.

In 2001, he completed the cinema directing and screenwriting courses at the Tehran Youth Cinema Association and was an assistant in the films "Turtles Fly", "Songs of the Motherland" and "Def" directed by Bahman Ghobadi.

So far, he has directed 12 short films, 2 feature-length documentaries and 1 feature film, which has won numerous awards from domestic and foreign festivals.
